Yeah, I know I definitely had some fucked up ideas when I was younger… I was a slut-shamer and had a bit of internalized sexism to deal with.
Gotta love our younger, ignorant selves, right? Yeesh. But that’s exactly why I get so annoyed when people have this “why bother?” attitude toward talking about these issues, because I know that those talks have opened up my mind and changed me in pretty significant, important ways.
