The unexpected guest at your Super Bowl party this year? Graphic anti-abortion ads.
For real anti-choicers? FOR REAL? I mean, I’m not that surprised but it still pisses me off every time.
Normally, Terry wouldn’t be able to get these kinds of ads on television. So he’s launching a non-serious campaign for president (running as a Democratic challenger to President Obama) in order to exploit a loophole in Federal Communications Commission rules that requires station to run campaign ads in the weeks ahead of a primary election—no matter how grisly they might be. In the 45 days ahead of a primary and 60 days ahead of a general election, candidates for federal office can run whatever they want on local stations, as long as they pay for the airtime.
And that part is distressing. I understand where the law came from (because if they had some stipulation that the ads had to pass some kind of sensitivity check, that could open up a whole can of worms and promote censorship, which would make the election playing field even more uneven), but it’s really shitty seeing people exploit that loophole.
THIS IS WHY WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS, RANDALL TERRY! We can’t have nice things because people put loopholes in laws hoping they won’t be abused, and people like you come along and exploit them.
Fuck this noise, I’m gonna go listen to some Naked Aggression. “Operation Rescue, what do you want me to do? SHOVE A COAT HANGER UP MY CUNT?!”

Which, let’s see, will probably be either outright fakes or blatant misdirections.
glad our primary isn’t till april!
What the actual fuck.
Surprisingly there (at the point I loaded the page) only one really shitty comment.
I know this has little to do with sims, but I’m pro-choice, so this is something I think is real important.
